Stop & Think on Viddler

Viddler is not as popular as YouTube but the quality is far superior and the options it gives you are amazing. People can watch the video below and comment right in the video itself (using their own webcams or just typing in their thoughts). Also you can choose between streaming and progressive depending on your preference. The other option we like is the ability to create "chapters" within the video so if people wanted to hear Francis talk about evolution, they could skip to that section and pick up from there.

But wait, there's more. As of today, this is the highest quality version of Stop & Think you can watch online. It was taken from the color corrected edit master (straight from the DVCPRO 50 camera originals)! So next to the DVD, this is the best "version" of Stop & Think out there.

We'd love to see your comments. Enjoy.

Another Good Defense

I came across this website the other night.
I thought it was an interesting defense, one I had not heard before.

"Some people will accept that Jesus really existed, but claim that we cannot know anything for sure about him, because we cannot trust the Gospel records. But, again, there is no historical basis for discounting the historic records we have. The documentary evidence for their accurate transmission and preservation is overwhelming. And the suggestion that the four Gospels are works of fiction is so far-fetched that it would need a major essay just to summarise the problems it throws up! But, just for starters:

• Fiction had not been invented at the time.
• Inventing five stories (the four Gospels and Acts) that work together the way they do, would be an act of genius unrivalled in the history of art.
• No author of fiction has ever been able to solve the problem of representing goodness in a believable (non-vomit-inducing!) way - except the writers of the four Gospels.
• If it is fiction, the writer (or writers?) of the Gospels produced the four greatest novels of all time, plus a convincing sequel in Acts, yet remained totally unknown, and never wrote anything else.
• Our writer or writers of fiction somehow convinced people living at the time when they composed these works that these imaginary stories were true, that this person really had lived, and that they should suffer horrible deaths for the sake of this imaginary person."

Gospel Message, Over-Saturated?

I went to a memorial service on Monday. Nick Schafer passed away on April 2, 2007. He was 24. He left behind his pregnant girlfriend (it was implied by his girlfriend that he died from an overdose of some kind). He was a camera operator on a recent event I produced and recently worked with a lot of my close friends. Nice guy. The service was at a church in Santa Clarita. There were both believers and non-belivers in attendance. I personally felt the Gospel message was being shoved down the throats of those who attended. It seemed fake, forced and completely inappropriate. I was expecting this young man's life to be highlighted, eulogized and remembered, not hi-jacked by local churches as a "hey, don't let this happen to you" billboard.

My question is this: is it possible for the Gospel message to be over-saturated or am I just not getting it?

I find it hard to believe that these guys would do this much "preaching" even on Easter Sunday (which was the day before I might add).
